Checkpoints carry a frequency. Documents carry an expiry. Every one of them runs its own clock independently, and an asset is clear only when every obligation on it is inside its own window.

Every inspection is timestamped, attributed to the person who ran it, and locked once submitted. Every checkpoint result inside it is retained, along with any photo evidence attached to it.
When an auditor asks what happened to a specific asset on a specific date, the answer is a search rather than an archaeology project.
