Prove compliance without the paperwork.
Every check carries its own schedule and its own clock. Nova tracks all of them, surfaces the moment one lapses, and keeps a record you can hand straight to an auditor.
“We inspected it last week” is not an answer.
Ask most systems whether an asset is compliant and they check one thing: when it was last inspected. Inside the window? Compliant.
But an asset isn’t one check. A forklift has brakes, hydraulics, a mast, tires, an hour meter — and they don’t share a schedule. Some are monthly, some quarterly, some annual, some statutory. Track compliance at the level of the asset and a recent inspection quietly covers the one check nobody has done in fourteen months.
Two kinds of obligation. Each on its own clock.
Some obligations recur, a brake check every month, a pressure test every quarter. Others expire on a date: a certificate, a warranty, a test record. They behave differently and they lapse differently, so Nova tracks them differently.
Checkpoints carry a frequency. Documents carry an expiry. Every one of them runs its own clock independently, and an asset is clear only when every obligation on it is inside its own window.
- Frequency set per checkpoint, not per checklist
- Overdue tracked and reported per checkpoint
- One lapsed check is visible even when the asset was inspected yesterday
The audit trail builds itself.
Every inspection is timestamped, attributed to the person who ran it, and locked once submitted. Every checkpoint result inside it is retained, along with any photo evidence attached to it.
When an auditor asks what happened to a specific asset on a specific date, the answer is a search rather than an archaeology project.
- Timestamped and attributed to the inspector
- Every checkpoint result retained, not just the outcome
- Photo evidence held against the checkpoint it belongs to
Reports an inspector will accept.
Export any asset, location, or date range to PDF or CSV, formatted to be handed over rather than reformatted first. Filter to exactly what’s being asked about instead of sending a spreadsheet of everything and hoping.
- Compliance reports in one click, exported as PDF or CSV (coming soon)
- Legible in greyscale when printed
Everyone who spots a problem can record it.
Every plan includes unlimited users. The person who notices the lapsed certificate is often not the person with a licence — and compliance gaps survive precisely because recording one was somebody else’s job.
Frequently asked questions
An asset is Current when every obligation against it is inside its own window — every checkpoint within its frequency, every document before its expiry. Because each one runs its own clock, an asset can be inspected yesterday and still be Overdue on an annual check, and Nova will tell you which.
Because Nova can see whether the obligations you configured are up to date. It can’t see your full regulatory position, and claiming compliance on your behalf would be asserting something we’re not in a position to know. Current says exactly what we can stand behind.

Its compliance shows as No data, not as Current. An asset nobody has defined obligations for hasn’t passed anything — the same reason an uninspected asset shows No data rather than green.
Yes, and that’s the point. Frequency is set per checkpoint rather than per checklist, so a monthly visual check and an annual statutory certificate run independently on the same asset without one masking the other.
Every inspection is timestamped, attributed, and retained with its full checkpoint detail and photo evidence. Filter to the assets, locations, or dates in question and export to PDF or CSV to hand over directly.
