Every extinguisher, every site, every check accounted for.
Built for contractors servicing fire equipment across hundreds of client sites. Every check carries its own schedule, every finding carries a photograph, and nothing gets absorbed into a form nobody reads again.
THE COMPLIANCE REALITY
Nobody gets audited on the average.
A single extinguisher isn’t a single check. There’s the pressure gauge, the seal, the hose, the external condition, the mounting, the signage — and then the annual service, and beyond that the periodic discharge and overhaul, on a clock measured in years rather than months.
Every one of those runs on a different schedule. Record them as one job with one date and the register says the unit was serviced. It doesn’t say the hose was perished at the last two visits, or that the overhaul is well past due on a unit that was signed off last week.
That gap is where the certificate you signed becomes the document somebody reads back to you.
Whatever’s on the schedule
-
Portable equipment
Extinguishers, blankets, hose reels. High volume, low value individually, and the whole liability sits in whether each one was actually checked.
-
Fixed systems
Sprinklers, suppression, risers, hydrants, alarms and detection. Fewer assets, longer test cycles, heavier consequences.
-
Passive and egress
Fire doors, signage, emergency lighting, escape routes. The checks most often recorded on paper and least often found again.
Thousands of assets across dozens of buildings, on one register.
Fire contractors don’t have an asset problem, they have an asset count problem. Thousands of near-identical units spread across dozens of client sites, each with its own service history that has to be produced on demand years later.
Nova holds them by location and by asset type, so a technician arriving at a site sees what’s there and what’s due, and the office sees the whole book at once.
- Up to 20,000 assets and 150 locations on Essential
- Location-level checks as well as asset-level, on every plan
- Real-time sync between mobile and web

The photograph, at the unit, at the time.
A finding recorded three hours later at a desk is a recollection. A photograph attached to the specific check on the specific unit, timestamped and attributed to the technician who took it, is evidence.
When a client asks why a replacement was quoted, or an insurer asks what condition something was in, the answer is already on the record — and it stayed there. A failed check stays failed until that check passes again. Servicing something else on the same visit doesn’t clear it.
- Photo evidence attached to the specific check, not the visit
- Timestamped and attributed to the technician
- Locked once submitted
- A failed check persists until re-checked and passed
- Real-time sync between mobile and web
Serviced is not the same as working.
An extinguisher can be fully in date and physically defective. It can be in perfect condition and months past its service. It can be both fine and be the only unit covering a plant room.
Nova keeps those three separate: Condition: what the technician found. Compliance: whether every check is inside its own window. Risk profile: how much that particular unit matters, set by asset type.
Fire Industry testimonials
-
“By far the best part of AssetPool is the real-time view of our equipment. I get an email when the job starts and a report as soon as it’s completed. Once a deficiencies has been identified it can be addressed, ensuring that we are ready to get to work at all times. It’s definitely worth the price. Set-up is easy and the support is fantastic. It make administration so much easier and less time consuming."

“AssetPool has been a game changer for our client inspections. The document feature that notifies us a month in advance when internal equipment is due for calibration, or annual inspections has greatly improved our productivity and ensures that we stay on top of our maintenance schedules.”

Save up to 20% admin time per week.
By replacing paper checklists and manual paperwork, technicians can complete inspections faster, capture photos, record deficiencies, and submit everything digitally while they’re still on site. For office teams, that means less time entering data, organizing inspection records, and following up on outstanding issues. With real-time access to completed inspections and deficiencies, everyone has the information they need when they need it. The result? Less administration and less wasted time.
For every $100,000 you spend on labour, that’s
up to $20,000 tied up in administrative work.
A 10-person team working 40 hours a week loses
80 hours every week to admin time.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, and it’s the reason the compliance model works this way. Every check carries its own frequency and its own clock, so a monthly visual and a multi-year overhaul run independently on the same extinguisher. The unit shows as Overdue the moment any one of them lapses, and tells you which.
Offline mode is available from the Essential plan. Technicians can complete inspections without connectivity and the results sync when they’re back in range.
No. There are no per-user fees on any tier, and every paid plan includes unlimited users — which matters in an industry that scales its field team seasonally.
No, and deliberately not. You configure the checks and frequencies your regime requires, and Nova enforces the schedule you set. It records what was done and when — it doesn’t interpret regulation on your behalf.
