AssetPool — Cookie Notice
This notice explains how AssetPool Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
It does not cover AssetPool Classic at assetpool.co, which is operated by AssetPool (Pty) Ltd. Cookies there are described at assetpool.com/cookies-classic. All of our legal documents are listed at assetpool.com/legal.
1. What this notice covers
- assetpool.com — our website
- assetpool.io and its subdomains — the AssetPool Nova application

2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
We also use similar technologies that work in the same way, including local storage and pixels. Where this notice says "cookies", it covers those too. The identifiers used by the Nova mobile applications are different and are described in section 3.4 of our Privacy Notice rather than here.
Some cookies contain an identifier that can be linked to you or your device. Where that is the case, the information is personal information, and our Privacy Notice applies to it as well.
3. Two websites, two separate choices
assetpool.com and assetpool.io are different domains. A browser treats their cookies separately, so a preference you set on one does not carry across to the other. If you want the same setting on both, you need to set it on both.
We do not track you between the two domains. No measurement or advertising technology operates across both.
4. The categories we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the site or the application to work: signing you in, keeping your session secure, remembering where you are in a task, load balancing, and security protections. These cannot be switched off and we do not ask consent for them, because the service cannot be delivered without them.
Functional. Remember choices you have made, such as language or interface preferences.
Analytics. Tell us how the site is used, which pages are visited, and where people encounter problems, so we can improve it.
Everything other than strictly necessary cookies is optional.
We do not currently set advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to show you targeted advertising. If that changes we will update this notice and ask for your consent before setting them.
5. Your choices
On our website. Use the cookie preferences control below, available here and from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer at any time. You can change or withdraw your choices whenever you like, and withdrawing is as easy as giving them.
In your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site and the application from working.
Global Privacy Control. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of optional cookies.
In the Nova mobile applications. Camera and location permissions are controlled through your device settings and can be withdrawn at any time, though inspection features that rely on them will then stop working.
6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by providers we use rather than by us. They are named in the tables above, and their own privacy notices govern what they do with the information. We do not control those cookies and cannot delete them on your behalf, though declining the relevant category prevents them being set.
The providers we use are listed at assetpool.com/sub-processors.
7. Changes to this notice
We will publish any updated version here with a new version number and effective date, and record it in the version history at assetpool.com/legal. We keep superseded versions and will provide them on request.
Where a change materially affects your choices, we will ask for your consent again rather than rely on an earlier answer.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom
Non-essential cookies are set only after you consent. The banner offers accept and reject as equally prominent options, with nothing pre-ticked, and you can withdraw consent at any time from the footer link. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
Canada
We rely on implied consent for analytics cookies where the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act permits it, and on express consent for any cookie used for marketing. Residents of Quebec have additional rights under Law 25, including confidentiality by default.
South Africa
Cookies that identify you are personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act. We process them on the bases described in our Privacy Notice, and you may object at any time. For Nova accounts registered in South Africa, the responsible party is AssetPool (Pty) Ltd; for the assetpool.com website it is AssetPool Inc.
